Rawalpindi:<\/strong> According to a news source, an operation against illegal housing schemes and other unauthorized constructions carried out. The operation was initiated by The Land Use and Building Control (LU&BC) Wing and Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate, Rawalpindi Development Authority<\/a> (RDA). Said the RDA spokesperson in a press statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, against illegal residential-cum-commercial buildings, sealed four illegal plazas and 24 shops in University Town. Further, an FIR registered against University Town management. The LU&BC Wing and MP&TE Directorate\u2019s staff including In-charge Demolition Squad, Building Inspectors and others took strict action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, they sealed the site office of Al-Makkah City. Also, the demolition orders of four illegal societies issued namely Gulshan-e-Bahar, Mian Muhammad Bukhsh Town, University Town, Mivida (Khanyal Homes) in Rawalpindi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Director General (DG) RDA Capt. (R) Abdul Sattar Isani directed the operation against illegal housing societies<\/a> and commercial markets. He said the grand operations against illegal housing schemes and unauthorized constructions underway in full swing to control the illegal development of housing projects. Similarly, 26 notices and 25 challans to the owners of illegally-constructed buildings issued by the LU&BC Wing RDA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, fees\/charges of Rs 32.12 million from various residential-cum-commercial buildings last week in place of commercialization fee received by the LU&BC Wing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further, \u201cThe owners of the above-mentioned properties have violated approved plans\/ maps. Violating the Punjab Development of States Act 1976 and RDA Building and Zoning Regulations, 2020. And constructed illegal residential-cum-commercial buildings without approval and NOC.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DG RDA directed LU&BC Wing to take strict actions against the illegal and unauthorized construction without any favour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
