Coronavirus Vaccination Campaign

Lahore: According to a news source, on Monday, Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid and Lahore Commissioner Captain (retd) Usman Younis inaugurated the door-to-door vaccination campaign in Punjab at Shah Jamal EPI Center.

Lahore Deputy Commissioner Mudassar Riaz Malik and other officials were present on the occasion. The campaign’s objective is to vaccinate maximum people, says Dr Yasmin

Further, the Health Minister said: “The purpose of the door-to-door campaign is to vaccinate a maximum number of people against coronavirus. On directions from Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, we are vaccinating more and more people. So far, we have vaccinated over 12 million people as Punjab has vaccinated the highest number in the country. Lahorites must get themselves vaccinated to beat the pandemic, and our teams are ready to vaccinate people. By the 14th of August, we will vaccinate the 40pc population of Punjab. Five megacities including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan and Gujranwala are in the spotlight in the current campaign. The awareness campaign is being run in Punjab on the Covid-19 vaccine. There is a 350-bed hospital at Expo Center.”

Likewise, she added that there was adequate stock of vaccines available and the situation was being reviewed on a daily basis. “In Punjab,” she said, “over 350,000 people are being vaccinated daily.”
