Multan: According to a news source, on Thursday, the foundation stone of the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme (NPHS) has been laid in Jalapur Pirwala like in other cities of Punjab. According to the project, 104 houses will be constructed.

Further, the housing scheme planned to set up at 32 Kanals and 14 marlas. Prime Minister Imran Khan laid the stone through a video link at a ceremony organized at the Multan Sports Complex. Moreover, among those who participated in the inauguration were MNA Ahmed Hassan Dehar, MPA Javed Akhtar Ansari, Commissioner Javed Akhtar Mahmood, RPO Khurram Ali Shah, Deputy Commissioner Ali Shehzad and CPO Munir Masood Marth.

On this occasion, the prime minister promised to provide 5 million houses. Further, he said that the PTI government moves to fulfil its promise regarding the provision of houses to the needy. Furthermore, around 130 places selected to establish the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme project before June. Likewise, he said that citizens will be able to own their house for Rs 1.4 million. Furthermore, a subsidy of Rs 300,000 is being given to each house. A loan of one million rupees would be given to the members of the scheme on a 3pc mark-up.
