ISLAMABAD: According to a news source, Prime Minister Imran Khan has observed the illegal occupation of Pakistani-owned property abroad and has given a 15-day time limit for the relevant authorities to take it back.
The Prime Minister was presented with a detailed report on the illegal seizure of the property of Pakistanis living abroad. This report found that 261 properties of overseas Pakistanis were illegally seized in Lahore. In response, the prime minister ordered the deputy chairman of the foreign affairs committee, Chaudhari Wasim, to take the property back from the qabza mafia (land grabbers). He also directed the Police, Lahore Development Authority, District Administration, Cooperative Administration, and other relevant agencies to take action to complete the mission.
Expatriates living in Canada, England, Germany, the USA, Saudi Arabia, Italy, France, and Kuwait, have reportedly filed complaints about the illegal occupation of their properties in Pakistan.
