Lahore: The project is checked, and the workers are thanked for the quality of the work. Speaking about this, CM Usman Buzdar said that Rs 1 billion was spent on the construction of the 560-meter long tunnel, and about 130 meters were saved due to the transparency of the tender. He said the underpass would provide unimpeded traffic flow between Center Point, Cavalry Ground, and MM Alam Road. He said about 100,000 citizens would benefit from the project every day, with millions of rupees worth of fuel annually, adding that special measures have been taken in the tunnel to remove rainwater quickly.
The chief minister said the government is focusing on the development of the provincial city, and new projects will be launched to provide more opportunities for citizens.
The General Director of the Lahore Development Department, Ahmed Aziz Tarar, informed the director of the center about the details of the project.
Also present were provincial ministers Mian Mahmood Rashid, Murad Ras, chairman of PTI Central Punjab Ijaz Chaudhry, Dr. Firdous Ashek Awan, LDA vice president Sheikh Imran, secretary-general, parliamentarians, and others.
